*πŸ‘‰VERSE:* _*”And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;”_(2 Samuel 22:2)

Logically, every individual in pain or trouble prefers deliverance to the celebration associated with the freedom obtained. Deliverance relies on an able power which proves stronger than the thing which  overcomes the strength of man. Day after day, babies are being delivered and freedom is wanted by any one who knows the relief it brings to an individual.

Don’t look far. Sin kept humankind in shackles of slavery until our Messiah in the person of Jesus Christ, came in to deliver us. His love for us pushed Him to come down into our lives to provide us with the joy of salvation. The blood of Jesus Christ has the *gene of deliverance to infuse anyone who runs to Him for salvation.*

This is the right time in our lives when we have to get up in worship and adoration in each and every day, if not every hour. Such a repetitious honour must be done God because we are now enjoying His salvation without paying a dime for it. Acknowledgement of God’s saving power is to be an expression of His matchless dominion which demands our worship. May the Lord help us to understand the purpose of our deliverance from sin. We are saved to stop sinning and this can be a reality with the assistance of the Holy Spirit.

*PRAYER* Heavenly Father, give me the holy heart of a delivered Christian in Jesus name. *AMEN*

*πŸ‘‰VERSE:* _”And he said, The LORD is my rock and my fortress,…”_(2 Samuel 22:2)

It is right for us to go down into the meaning of the word “fortress”. A fortress is a fortified place. *It is also known to be a stronghold or a place of defense or security* The era of colonialism casts our minds back to the prodemocratic dispensation, where the European powers built a number of fortresses along the coastal belt to represent their headquarters in the colonies. Currently, forts are registered under the UNESCO Heritage Sites, and many tourists and historians are attracted to them.

This idea can help us to best appreciate the invincibility of God’s fortress in the spiritual realm, as we transfer knowledge for the sake of emphasis. The protection God offers to us in every day, is not different from what inhabitants of Heaven are enjoying. Those in Heaven have already arrived but if intense protection is anything to talk about, then God’s eyes are keenly fixed on us. Protection is higher where security comes under constant attacks from inimical cohorts. *No part of this world is safe enough to be our hideout. That is why we have no stronghold to provide us with refuge apart from being in the safer hands of Governor Jesus Christ.*

The saving blood of Jesus Christ, opened the door for us to take bold steps into the *fortified quarters of God in this world and forever. Believing in Jesus Christ as the solution to all problems of this world, and walking in His ways will keep us from any attack from the devil. *If Christ Jesus is with us, who can be against us?* Absolutely, nobody can. We are fenced by the impenetrable hedge of the Holy Spirit as Job was, and no amount of attacks can overcome us. *God’s defence is sure; He is the Rock of Ages and the fountain of our salvation. Run into His protective hands.*

*PRAYER* Governor Jesus, kindly keep us safe as you do all the time. *AMEN*

*πŸ‘‰VERSE:* _”And he said, The LORD is my rock…”_(2Samuel 22:2)

Jesus Christ is the Rock of our salvation. He Himself is very much aware of how every body on the face of this earth needs Him. With the exception of our memory verse for the day, there are several quotations which refers to Him as the rock and cornerstone. Mankind was made out of the dust and for that reason, we cannot rely on any part of the earth surface in case we are looking for a place of security to run away from the sinking weapons of the stormy Satan and his demons.

If Christ is the solid rock on which we stand, then all other grounds are sinking sands. The dependable power of Jesus Christ our Saviour is tried and tested with dumbfounding testimonies to support this Truth. As the Temple of the Holy Spirit, we are  built on the solid foundation of Christ and fear has no condition to show up its horrible face.  Trust in Him and you will never fall under any wild and calamitous circumstance.

*PRAYER* Father God, may my life be built on your Solid Rock in Jesus name. *AMEN* —————————————-

πŸ‘‰MEMORY VERSE: _”For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”_(Acts 2:39)

When the Lord tells us to lift up His Truth to the world, then it indicates and signifies the downfall of the truth in this present world. Our obligation as truth lifters is a herculean task and we will need the fire of God because fear can drive us away from the work of God. Fire is not afraid of any wild animal. The Lord will implant the ancient fire of the Holy Spirit in us, if we avail ourselves for Him. The Lord will not watch lies to cover His people(Acts 2:39).

God’s generals including John Wesley and many others, worked hard with the fire of the Holy Spirit, and they kept the originality of the Truth in their generation. He has called us for the world to know the hope of His calling (Ephesians 1:15-19). The Lord told us about His readiness to grant us His unused power preserved for us, even when He did not use it in the human realm. So why must we be afraid of opposition and persecution? (Zechariah 14:12). Elijah was a man subject to passion like us but he ministered under the fire of the Holy Spirit (James 5:17).

Through him, the Lord destroyed the power of idols and it is our time to do same without thinking that it is impossible and so superhuman an activity. Humankind have gone apostate and idolatrous. The devil has seared their conscience, and the LORD wants us to restore them to Himself by way of His Holy Fire. If we are fully trusted in the LORD, then people will hate us for lifting up the holiness of God but multitudes of people are fond of the tantalizing doctrines of men. Preach the Gospel Truth and lift up higher the holiness of God without accepting any compromise (Philippians 1:17).

Purity in heart and deeds, and fervent prayer is the only thing that can keep the fire of God flaming without ever being quenched. Be on fire through earnest prayer.

*PRAYER*: Oh Lord Jesus Christ, let the ancient fire fall on us. Grant us the fiery zeal to lift up your Gospel Truth to the world. *AMEN*

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”
Matt. 6:33KJV
After contacting a king, the next first thing is to seek and know His kingdom and what’s involved. The word “Kingdom” is a term for a “King” and His “Domain”.Practically, a kingdom may be defined as β€œthe sovereign rule of a king over territory (domain), impacting it with his will, purport, and intent.” God’s kingdom means God’s will executed, Heaven’s influence, God’s governance, His impress and impact. We are to seek GOD’S righteousness, not ours. When our lives are right before the King, we will enjoy His privileges.

“A king said to his particular friend, ‘Ask what thou
wilt, and I will give it unto thee.’ He thought within himself,
‘If I ask to be made a general I shall readily obtain it. I will
ask something to which all these things shall be added:’ he
therefore said, ‘Give me thy daughter to wife.’ This he did knowing that all the dignities of the kingdom should be added unto this gift.”
Our Lord Jesus emphasised to us His Kingdom and the need to be righteous so that we can receive β€œall these things added unto us.” Including our Physical, psychological, emotional and financial needs. When we ask and seek heavenly things, earthly things are also added; but when we seek earthly things we miss the paradisical ones.

Solomon asked wisdom, and had that and other things added to Him.
O what a blessed change would it make in our hearts and lives, did we but firmly believe this truth, that the best way to be comfortably provided for in this world, is to be most intent upon that Edenic World!
PRAYER: I exalt your name, oh Lord Jesus for your Kingdom. I ask for your grace to diligently seek it in your name I pray.

*”But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”*.

_Matt. 6:33KJV_

The Hebrew word for  seek, _”baqash or baqar”_ has a very strong meaning. Imagine losing your child at the central market; Your entire heart, mind, time and energy would be engage in searching for that child. Parallel this with seeking God. One of the attributes of God is His omnipresence, thus He is present in all places at all times; yet His words behest us to seek Him. To seek means to pursue, study,  explore,  understand, learn and consider. Seeking the Lord is seeking His presenceβ€” Thus to be before His face. It is the conscious fixing or focusing of our mind’s attention and our heart’s affection on Him.

Thusly, seeking after God means to have an intimate and personal relationship with Him; always  desiring more of Him and pursuing Him alone to fill the vacuum in our hearts and lives.

David, the Psalmist, knew this very well when he proclaimed: _”As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?”_(Psalm 42:1-2KJV). Seeking God involves humility, dying to self,  vibrant prayer, and a heartfelt worship.

Beloved, the fact is, *you can’t seek to enter a kingdom without first contacting the King*. When you seek God first, His kingdom becomes the top priority in your life. To live in God is to live in His kingdom; they that dwell in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

_”And this is life eternal,  that they might know thee the only true God,  and Jesus Christ,  whom thou hast sent”_.(John17:3KJV)

*PRAYER:* _”O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee,  my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is”_(Psalm 63:1KJV)

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”.

Matt. 6:33KJV

In this world, every human being is after something. And that thing is driven by our priorities. Our life is the aggregate of all our daily decisions, and those decisions are ascertained by our precedence, our lives’ priorities.

The work of behavioral scientist and psychologist Abraham Maslow, after studying the motivations of human behavior, concluded that all human behavior is driven by the same basic β€œhierarchy of needs”: physiological, safety and security, love and acceptance, self-esteem and self-actualisation. Ultimately,  these are what humans are seeking after and in regards to that,  their hearts, love, mind and soul are geared towards accomplishing it.

Subsequently, the priorities of most churches are on how to help their members to satisfy these needs; the sermons of many notable pastors revolve on these needs. But these are in absolute contrast of what the Lord said; ” Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or,  what shall we drink? Or wherewithal shall we be clothed?(Matt. 6:31). Our Heavenly Father is very aware that we need all these things, yet he had set another need to be earnestly desired and sought after.

Is it not doleful, dear one, that we are seeking and keeping the least important things in our lives? We are seeking the necessaries, but not most important.

The Lord Jesus in His sermon on the mount, vividly stated that the most crucial priority and need of man’s life is to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. This is what we truly need.

Our essential needs are not earthly things but heavenly, therefore all of our being, must seek after the things of God: His kingdom, Truth,  holiness and righteousness.

PRAYER:  Praise to your name, my Heavenly Father for your words of Truth.  Please help me to set my affections on things above in Jesus’ name I pray.

*πŸ‘‰VERSE:* _”JUDGE not, that ye be not judged.”_(Matthew 7:1)

Our memory verse for the day has been made controversial by careless people of this world, who hate to be corrected. They see the truth to be so bitter like an unfavorable judgement. It’s not a surprise that the world hates righteousness but love to be content with evil.

The Word of God is telling us to correct ourselves, mind our utterances and focus more on how to keep our lives with diligence. All Christians are to live on the mercies of God without condemning or judging those who go wrong. Leave judgement to God; it is not our business to judge others. Those in the habit of judging people from a wrong perspective, are going to be judged in the same manner (Proverbs 11:1).

*PRAYER* Oh Jesus, kindly accept my prayer of forgiveness for the times I have judged others wrongly. *AMEN*

*πŸ‘‰VERSE:* _In a moment, in the twinkle of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed*””_(1Corinthians 16:52)

Christians are to be spiritually prepared for what lies ahead of us. Although we live in the flesh, we are not called to live for the world. People occupy themselves with what it takes to enjoy a successful marriage. They would like to make advance inquiries and preparations needed to experience a happy marriage.

In Matthew 25:1-13, Jesus Christ made use of the Parable of the Ten Virgins to send us his warning about His second coming, and what needs to be done by His saints. The parable has it that, 5 out of the 10 virgins were actually prepared to meet the bridegroom. The same parable is currently unfolding in real life; for not all people are preparing for the  Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Cares of this world have resulted in the spiritual death or backwardness of so many Christians. For these people, acts of worship in Christianity has become routine exercises. This is the time to seek the Lord and do all that it takes to finally inherit the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 25:10-12).

However, those who are captured by Satan will have nowhere to spend eternal life but to spend eternal destruction in the lake of fire. He is stealthily keeping many Christians away from their preparation towards rapture (John 10:10, 2Timothy 3:1-5). Are you preparing for rapture or to be captured by Satan?

*PRAYER* Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary which is pure and holy in Jesus name. *AMEN*

πŸ‘‰MEMORY VERSE: _”And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come”_(Luke 19:13)

Naturally, humankind doesn’t appreciate what he owns. The people of Israel needed liberation from the hands of the tyrannical Egyptian Pharaoh. After the Lord had granted them this deliverance, they didn’t appreciate the saving power of God, and the freedom they obtained from slavery. Due to insubordination, only two of them were able to finally arrive in the Promised Land with the younger generation.

Thus has not seized in our generation at all. By the grace and mercy of God, God saved us from the shackles of sin and provided emancipation from the oppression against our souls. It is time for us to worship God according to His high preferential order of holiness but we are not doing our best to make His grace useful. Satan has succeeded in pulling down many churches who began well. They couldn’t occupy until the coming of Christ and that is eternally punishable.

To call yourself a Christian, one will have to work out his or her salvation diligently for God’s reward. How pitiful it is in our generation! As Most Churches cannot preach, promote, practice and encourage holiness because they have unraveled the difficulty involved in standing firm for the Lord unto the end. With faith and truth, we can prove an incredible point to God.

Christianity is like running with a spoon with egg on it. The more you run, the more it becomes dangerous for you to stay cautious in order not to crack the egg. Faith in God has to be preserved like the precious egg. If we carry the egg of faith like a spoon, no matter how people lose their eggs it shouldn’t be so in our case. Truth is the only weapon which can command freedom (John 8:32). One who has the Truth, needs to obviously be strong in the faith he is to die for. The work we are called to do, is to present our faith in God to the world.

Jesus Christ occupied Himself with the will of God until He finished on the Cross of Calvary (Romans 13:11-14). We have the opportunity to serve God in His holiness. Let the time and space in our disposal be delicately held with much priority. The enthusiasm with which we are to approach our spiritual responsibilities as Christians, must not depreciate or fade out. This will intend our daily engagement with acts of worship either than worrying ourselves with worldly things. Martha occupied herself with the unnecessary burden but Mary knew with conviction that being with Jesus Christ, was the right and most important thing to be done (Luke 10:38-42).

Ascribe no reason for your inability to labour for the Lord, occupy yourself with Church activities, preach the Gospel and stand for the truth in holiness until the day of accountability (Philippians 1:5-6, Matthew 10:34-39, Philippians 2:12-16, Colossians 3:23-24).

*PRAYER*:Dear Spirit of God, assist me to render clean account unto my Lord Jesus Christ. *AMEN*
