SAFELY HIDDEN FOR GOOD

_”For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”_(Colossians 3:3)

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Satan seeks to attack every body that has life in him or her. There is no sin after death but a person only sins as a living soul before his death. Where there is life, Jesus Christ and Satan are all struggling to take possession of the one who has it. The question here is very simple: “who is the owner of our lives”?

Jesus Christ is the owner of our lives, and we have our whole being in Him. Through Jesus Christ, we were created and by His Blood were we redeemed from our sins. This redemption consists of our death to sin, from the moment we surrendered our lives to Christ and got born again (Ephesians 1:7, Romans 6:6-7).

Dying to sin, we get born into the life in Christ for ever and ever: this is on condition that we don’t yield to the devices of Satan who only wants us to labor in sin for condemnation in hell for eternity. Our lives are hidden with Christ in God because Christ is the one who has conquered sin, death and the devil, and He is helping us to also finish our race in Him by overcoming the world and Satan for ever.

Once we get hidden in Christ, our souls will not be exposed to mingle with the souls of the worldly people who are living for this sinful world. They are those who are waiting to be destroyed together with Satan in the Lake of Fire. We are safely hidden!

PREACH CHRIST RATHER.

_”For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Christ’s sake.”_(2Corinthians 4:5 )

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

One of the reasons why we preach as Christians, is to present the need for all living beings to believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as the controller of our lives. Life without Christ is full of crises in each and every day. Apostle Paul taught the Church of Corinth about the kind of preaching they needed to hear like us.

Preaching of Christ excludes the preaching which is centered on man as a hero who has carries the anointing of God or material things to talk about. For one to preach Christ, He must be able to testify of Him in his word and deeds to all who need Him. One major problem which is affecting the free delivery of the Good News is with preachers who have false perspectives about the blessings of God. They highlight on their testimonies as one of the ways of bringing themselves into the topic for preaching.

Self willed preachers are good at emphasizing on the carnal or physical things believers in Christ can get for accepting Christ. How do they do that? Instead of preaching how Jesus Christ alone can bring genuine repentance, sanctification and justification for the salvation of those seated before them, they preach their method of success. Others preach and end with spiritual directions that are as fetish as the devices of a fetish priest.

In preaching about how they became so anointed and privileged in life, they preach themselves as the testimonies needed to turn listeners away from Christ. Their self conceited and satanic strategies make people love the gifts and blessings of God more than the giver of the gift Himself. People idolize them as powerful ministers when they teach mysteries and prosperity messages that are capable of sweeping their feet in wonder. Since they are not preaching Jesus Christ, they have turned away from Him long time ago.

No wonder their Church members want to be of their self righteous identity; they buy their stickers, hail their books more than the Holy Bible, struggle for their mantles, and even want to dress or speak like them. How can this help us to preach Christ Jesus and His righteousness? The days are few and evil and we need to redeem them with the unpolluted Gospel of Christ which places emphasis on a believer’s righteousness and holiness unto Christ. With the exception of the Word of God, we don’t have any other message to preach apart from Jesus Christ.

*PRAYER*: LORD Jesus Christ, drop your message on my tongue. *AMEN*

WHY ARE YOU HERE?

*👤MINISTER: _PASTOR MOSES D. AMETEPEH_*

👉MEMORY VERSE: _”And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?”_ (1Samuel 17:29)

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

There are certain things that Christians will have to know before they can be called faithful children of God. First of all, we are Christians because God has called us. This call is unlike the one from man which will not have a definite purpose and faithfulness as that of Christ’s. Jesus Christ called us to become His friends, who are holy and sanctified like He is. For this reason, God has called us to exchange our carnal selves for His perfect identity. Another reason for which our by God has a purpose is to love as He loved us.

As if that is enough, we are called as Christians into Church of our Lord Jesus Christ to do His will and prove His truth in us and demonstrate the truth to the world. Every Christian is called by God to walk in the humility of our Lord Jesus Christ. This will have to show forth in our words and deeds. Humility is from our Lord Jesus Christ. Called to be holy and rapture ready, we are meant to do all that have been listed and nothing more or less.

Some people who call themselves Christians are not glorifying God in these afore mentioned ways and that us why the Lord Jesus Christ has assembled us before Him. Despite the spread of Churches all over the world, many people are falling for sin and they are finally landing in hell. Just as David knew the power of God in him would help him to defeat Goliath the uncircumcised Philistine, he finally defeated him. That Word of Faith is telling us to lift up the holiness of God in Churches which have fallen away.

Challenges came the way of David, when he was poised to go and defeat Goliath. One was discouragement from His brother Eliab. He told David that Goliath was a champion who had never lost in any battle. Saul on the other hand, gave his armor to David but because it was too heavy for him, he couldn’t move freely. This made him refuse the armor for five stones instead. We can stand for holiness at all cost without inviting discouragements to dictate for us. Don’t take suggestions of those who give you ideas which will turn you away from the will of God which we are called to do. Eventually, he killed Goliath and cut his head with the champion’s own sword.

Beloved, we are the ones that the Lord Jesus Christ is waiting to see our commitment and capabilities to fulfill the purpose for which God has established His Church. Considering where we were before we came to know Jesus Christ, we need to ask ourselves this question: how do help in the work of God and seek the growth of God’s ministry? Are our deeds collapsing the mission of ours or destroying the works of Satan? We shouldn’t be like Judas Iscariot who was carefully chosen by our Lord Jesus Christ as one of His twelve Apostles.

In our case, we don’t have to give series of excuses to delay the work of God (Matthew  20:1-16). Be in God’s Church because He has called us, not any man.

NO MORE ACCUSATIONS

_”And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”_(Mark 15:26)

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Sin made us stand accused before God until our Savior Jesus Christ came to bear our shame and all the true accusations brought upon our heads. One thing that ought to be observed here is the truth behind the superscription on the Cross of Jesus Christ as the Messiah or King of the Jews.

Prior to the coming of Jesus Christ into our lives to release us from the hands of the accuser of the brethren, we were all living in sin; we loved the worldly things around us and placed our hearts in them, lusted after the flesh and disobeyed the Word of God. All the accusations about us were true but not any longer. Our shame has been exchanged for fame on the Cross of Christ.

Since we are servants of righteousness and no longer slaves of sin to stand accused before the Devil, this is the time for us to celebrate our great joy and fame with a living testimony. Our freedom must lead us into an enjoyable life of obedience to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the competent lawyer who has won our case for us against the Devil. What else do we expect, after He has saved us from defamatory and scornful lives of burden?

*PRAYER*: Lord of my salvation, give me the power to walk in a sanctified life in appreciation of my deliverance in Jesus name. *AMEN*

SUFFICED BY GOD

_”Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.”_(2Corinthians 3:5)

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Sufficiency in life is seen by the world as an achievement which has nothing to do with God. According to the world, sufficiency comes out of man’s hardwork in life and not from the provisions of God. Self sufficiency as they call it, doesn’t have any thing good for man at the long run. For the Bible tells us that no man shall prevail by His own strength.

It is a way of idolizing yourself, stealing what belongs to God, turning prideful against Him and paying Him evil instead of good. How dare you think that your strength and expertise brought you to a successful life? Your prestige, position, money, property, status in community and other benefits are all coming down from God because we haven’t done anything to call our own. Don’t invite the wrath of God upon your life because you have likened your soul to the sufficiency of the rich fool in Jesus’ parable. God is our sufficiency.

Without God, nothing will be sufficient for us: in fact, without Him, we have not yet started. People can get every thing they need in life and still have nothing until they have Jesus Christ and allow Him to have them. He rather has to be sufficient for us and our obedience to Him has to make is sufficient to Him.

The Laodicean Church as we have been reading from the Book of Revelation, were wretched and poor but they rather saw themselves to be rich. They were poor because they were not having what it takes to claim riches in God’s glory. So at the end of it all, sufficiency will have to be two sides of the same coin. We are to quote our sufficiency in the fruit of the Spirit we bear.

*PRAYER*: LORD, make your sufficiency my gift of satisfaction in Jesus name. *AMEN*

HEART OF LOVE

MINISTER: ELDER EMMANUEL ACKOM

👉MEMORY VERSE: _”If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema, Maranatha.”_

(1Corinthians 16:22)

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

It is easier to sing how much we love the Lord but is it the same in deeds and reality? The way we sometimes think evil of our fellow Christians and wish for their downfall, is an indication of life without love for our Lord Jesus Christ. Love is greater than every spiritual gift and that alone is the reason why it shall stand forever (1Corinthians 13:8, 1Peter 4:7).

Consider the love of our Lord Jesus Christ and how He came to die in atonement of sins. The kingdom of God is still in existence because of the love of God. He who loves God keeps His commandment which is teaching us to love our neighbors as ourselves (John 14:15).

We don’t see God but we can love Him by loving our neighbours as ourselves, doing the best we can to promote the ministry of God. Nobody know what will bring about the blessings of God upon your life. Every evil thing that we do, makes us already condemned (John 3:18-21). Those who love God are those who have been grouped into the category of God’s flock but those who live without loving God, are in the group of goats (Matthew 25:31-46).

God wants us to be His ambassadors in order to help those in Church and other unfortunate people because we don’t physically see our Lord Jesus Christ. May the Lord help us by holding our hands into Heaven.

PEACE IN THE LIGHT

_”The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”_(Numbers 6:26)

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

In the Gospel of Matthew, God tells us that all peacemakers are His children. *Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace who gives abundant peace to all those whose lives receive His light, and are drawn out of the pit of darkness* (Colossians 1:13). They are those who believe in Him and do His will. His light upon us is from the glorious countenance of God that leads us into the life of peace need to enjoy the beauty of God given and purposeful life.

To make it simplified, *the countenance of the Lord is far brighter and greater than any scientific monitoring satellite.* It tracks all those who have come to follow Jesus Christ, the Light of the world. It is a heavenly device which gives a great signal to God as a tracking system, to connect the Throne of God to His children who are walking after the great light ray of Jesus Christ. It looks for them wherever they are: because they are to be untouchable.

People in darkness do not have the countenance of God because they have not come to proclaim Jesus Christ as their Lord, neither are they obeying His Word. The world is seeking to have peace all over, but will not find it. So many international laws, armistices and resolutions are made to end wars and regional conflicts but no long term improvement has yet been achieved. Jesus Christ alone can bring the glorious countenance of God into places where peace is needed.

Something horror and disastrous happens to those who are left in darkness without Christ. The devil easily devours his children of darkness like a vampire who is allergic to light. He can slaughter any one of them because they are his. *He gives them fake peace and hellish fun* which includes worldly entertainment for the flesh which mocks the high standard of righteousness.

Most of these fun loving people are the youth who find God’s standard to be too high to follow. He inflicts hem with so many problems in life, cause some of them to be so obsessed with difficulties in life and finally incite them to cause suicide in order to drop them in hell. *Almost all those who committed suicide, were those who sought to have peace out of their own might and emotions but couldn’t find it.*

Are problems in your businesses, marriages, and social statuses drowning you into suicide? Beloved, only Jesus Christ can save you from darkness into light. *Do you remember how the stars led the wise men to the place where Jesus Christ was born?* So long as the countenance of God is upon us and we obey His Word, we shall surely live in peace and nothing of this world will bother us because the light ray of Heaven alone can lead us in our heavenly race until we reach home.

*PRAYER*: Lord Jesus Christ, I want you to be my Prince of Peace. Let not your countenance depart from me. *AMEN*

TRUSTWORTHY REFUGE FOR COMFORT SEEKERS

_”The LORD also shall be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.”_(Psalm 9:9)

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Until a war breaks out for the entire nation to wholly depend on the security measures or prowess provided by the state army, some civilians will see them as an ineffective force which has no opposition to test their military might. Jesus Christ is the refuge of all His followers, who taught us to seek rest from Him (Matthew 11:28).

Isaiah’s prophecy became fulfilled that Jesus Christ will set the captives free, heal the broken hearted, preach the Gospel to the poor, and to set at liberty, the bruised in the society (Luke 4:18). He who promises to give you something must first have it in His possession before saying so. Our Lord Jesus Christ came to live on earth as a mortal man, overcame sin, died and resurrected on the third day, and He is now crowned with the authority over everything in Heaven and on earth.

The Psalmist is assuring us of the strength and power in our LORD Jesus Christ as our refuge and our place of rest. He is the only one who can grant rest to the weary souls and help us to stay away from sin by running into His bosom. All the protection we need are in His refuge and not even the devil can get hold of us. Troubles and oppression will have to come for God’s refuge for humankind to be made known without any doubt. They are not to harm us but to promote us from the territory of harm to the hall of trustworthy refuge in Christ alone. We are hidden in Christ and so He alone can fight for us.

*PRAYER*: Oh Lord Jesus Christ, be my refuge and my strength. *AMEN*

A WILLFUL ANSWER.

“As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.”

Jer. 44:16KJV

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
In the aftermath of the captivity of Judah to Babylon, a strong warning from the LORD came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt because of their wickedness which they committed to provoke Him to anger. They burnt incense and served other gods, whom they knew not. God told them the state of Judah before destroying them that upon all their idolatry, He sent unto them all His servants, the prophets, who rose early and said to them, “Oh do not this abomination that God hates”. But they hearkened not nor did they incline their ear to turn from their wickedness and idolatry. Wherefore, His fury and anger poured forth against them and gave them up to their enemies.

After all these warnings from the Lord, none of the Jews was ever ready to repent and hearken unto the Lord. Rather, all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods and all the people that dwell in the land of Egypt answered Jeremiah, saying, “As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.”

Such is a willful answer from a disobedient heart. But don’t be too quick to judge these people, aren’t Christians of today doing same? Upon all the preachings, prophecies, revelations and end-time messages, are we not living our lives as we will? Aren’t we loving the world which God’s words said we shouldn’t? Aren’t we preaching virtue and practicing vice? Aren’t we confessing this same answer to God and His prophets by the lives that we’re living? It’s time to wake up and be willing to be obedient!
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, please forgive me for any rude answer that I’m giving you through my lifestyle. Help me to obey all your words for I love you in your name I pray.
AMEN
