Amos 3:3
“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”

Many people walk into your life, you accept the friendship of few. You believe these few can positively bring you to your destination- you agreed to walk with them. โ€˜Walkโ€™ is a daily exercise and to walk with somebody, you have agreed to regularly do something together. May be eat, shop, learn, sing or fellowship.

We might walk with somebody for a while and substitute the terms of our initial agreement, an agreement is still in place. To strengthen our relationships, we must interact and share, holding the terms of the agreement. We must continue to accept who they are and not fake our side of the coin.

Have you agreed to walk with Jesus as Your God or Your Lord and God? If you have agreed to walk with Him, He becomes Your Lord and God. It means you have agreed to give Him your will for His. You no longer live for yourself but Him- with your spirit, soul and body you submit to Him.

If you have not in all things submitted to Him as Your Lord and God, you have not rightly admitted nor agreed to walk with Him. Lay aside that which is a snare, then let Him have your will and you will have His life.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, help me surrender my will to You and comfort me to always accept Your Lordship.

๐Ÿ—ฃMEMORY VERSE: _”And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even”_ 1Chronicles 23:30 (KJV)

The Levites under the reign of David gave priority to the daily offering of thanksgiving and praises to God. They zealously performed these duties.

Thanksgiving and praise belong to God. He gives us victory over death, sicknesses and temptations. We have to thank and praise Him for these. Most Christians do not place much premium on this daily sacrifice of appreciation. They wake up and expect all things to automatically work for their good, without praising and thanking God for the previous blessings He has granted them.

Thanksgiving and praise are very powerful tools for unlocking extraordinary blessings from God, even when we have not asked for anything. We are told by the Word of God to give thanks to God at all times, and have His praise on our lips. People who don’t like thanking God are those who despise some of his blessings. What an insult!

Our appreciation to God becomes great sacrifices in Heaven. God will bestow His manifold blessings upon us as He did for the multitude after Jesus had lifted the few loaves of bread and given Him thanks. We are not to wait until we get every request answered by God before giving Him thanks and praise.

Such an attitude will make us ungrateful and for that matter, disqualified to receiving good things from Him. Praise must always go up to God as a symbol of our total faith in Him at all times. We must be committed to this daily necessity in order to grow spiritually.
*PRAYER:* Lord Jesus, I give you my whole package of thanks and praise. *AMEN*

๐Ÿ—ฃMEMORY VERSE: _”Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.”_ (Matthew 26:31)

*Every shepherd has a flock of sheep to keep. He directs them to a place where they can find nutritious pastures at the right time. During the period of grazing, it is the responsibility of the Shepherd to direct them, protect them from harmful predators and ensure that they are given the right food to eat.* After making sure that they are properly fed within an open and comfortable environment, he brings them back safely into their pen.

*Jesus Christ is the Bishop of our souls and for that matter, He is the only dutiful Shepherd who remains in charge of human souls.* After He had died on the Cross of Calvary for our sins, we as His flock got scattered abroad. We lost our way in trying to seek pastures on our own, struggling helplessly to protect ourselves from beasts and getting back to our place of abode without any assistance from any other shepherd.

He rose again from the dead and told the disciples to follow Him into Galilee as a Shepherd. It was after meeting them in Galilee that He ascended into our eternal home in Heaven. What are we learning from this? *Our Shepherd is teaching us to walk in the way that He has created for us to enable us follow Him into Heaven, even as sheep only have the directions of their shepherds to follow.*

He knows His sheep and we as sheep also know Him. He is still gathering us into safer pens all around the world from where we will be finally swoop us by Him to Heaven. *These places of gathering are known as Churches where the undiluted Word of God will continue to be the right feed for all believers until Christ comes.*
*PRAYER:* Father in Heaven, I need more of your divine feed until the coming of Christ in Jesus name. *AMEN*

๐Ÿ—ฃMEMORY VERSE: _”AND it came to pass, that after the year was expired, at the time that kings go out to battle, Joab led forth the power of the army, and wasted the country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab smote Rabbah, and destroyed it.”_ (1Chronicles 20:1)

Historical books in the Holy Bible have series of recorded battles between Israel and other nations. One of such warfares is the timely and strategic battle between Israel and the Children of Ammon. Under the captaincy of Joab, God used the army of Israel to *waste the country of the Children of Ammon.*

In the previous chapter, the Holy Bible tells us how the elders and the new king of the Children of Ammon had mocked the servants of King David. These servants were sent by King David as comforters to condole the royal bereaved family after the demise of King Nahash, who used to be David’s friend. They ashamed the comforters as apprehended spies, shaved their hairs, *”and cut off their garments in the midst hard by their buttocks, and sent them away.”* (1Chronicles 19:4)

Beloved, Jesus Christ has told us that… *”all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.”*(Matthew 26:52) This method of warfare is different from that of the Old Testament. He has showed us the ways to *overcome the enemy and break down his dynamisms.* This is to say that our weapons of victory are not carnal; we are not wrestling against flesh and blood but against the evil government of the devil and his cohorts. *Therefore, as spiritual beings we need the Sword of the Spirit( Word of God) to win physical and spiritual attacks.*

Ours is to put on the whole *armor of God* by praying fervently as many times as we can, and studying the Word of God to get transformed into the nature of God by putting it into practice. *These are how we can overcome all the weaknesses that fight against our inner purity. *By so doing, Holy Spirit will use us to waste all our attackers, overcome evil and turn our struggles into blessings.*
*PRAYER:* Dear Lord Jesus, help me to waste my attackers. *AMEN*

๐Ÿ—ฃMEMORY VERSE: _”Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.”_ (3John 11 )

Goodness comes along with a hard or soft sacrifice which will have to be performed for the betterment of human lives. The smooth interpersonal relationship between God and humankind is brought about by God’s goodness. God is good. Out of His goodness, He gave us His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to be sacrificed for the salvation of mankind.

*Life is a great opportunity for us to follow God in the good track taught us by our Lord Jesus Christ.* He teaches us to do unto others what we want them to do unto us. Goodness is shown among ourselves in the form of paying good for evil, caring for the poor, needy and the sick, thinking nothing evil, accepting our faults and working out our perfection with the daily grace of God, loving ourselves, seeking the things of God and many more.

Goodness is a footprint left by Christ Jesus for us to walk in it until we finally depart from this world. *As a matter of fact, it is a requirement which cannot be breached by anyone who knows the meaning of Christianity as a way of life taught and lived by Christ.*

Evil is not part of a good Christian’s life. For instance, it is not good for a Christian to disrespect people, insult any body, lie or fight anywhere but it is expected of Christians to do things the righteous way. *Goodness is meant to overcome evil and to keep on lifting up the righteousness of God all the time.* On the other hand, evil will always look for ways and means of attacking the beneficiaries or the importance of living the goodness of God.

God is not, and will never be known by evil people or generations, not even the double minded people. *He created us in His likeness in order for us to have all that He has but the one who embraces evil is a wasted soul who is not known by God to be in the state of humanity but as a dead wood ready for making eternal firewood in hell.* This is why he or she will have to know Christ in order not to be a firewood in hell. He who doesn’t know God is described as evil in our memory verse. Their works and lives do not have the good meaning for which our Lord God created us into this world. Doers of evil are blind about the things of God and their significance.

Christ Jesus has called us to be enlightened through the power in His salvation, thereby leading us into the essence of living the goodness of God. *We are to do the little things we can to help our neighbours, love each other, help our communities to develop and stay clean, making sure we always stay out of the chains of evil. This is when God will know that we are His Good children.*
*PRAYER:*.Dear Father in Heaven, grace me to do good in Jesus name. *AMEN*

๐Ÿ—ฃMEMORY VERSE: _”The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas”_ (Matthew 27:21)

Shamefulness is one of the repentant stages involved in the making of resolutions by an individual who has sinned against God and man. It will definitely have to come the way of any one who has dissented from waywardness in order to find himself or herself on the right path. *God likes it when we become ashamed of ourselves for indulging in any act deviating from His Word, and showing remorse for them.*

Believers like us can be in the position of Barabbas. He knew himself to be a criminal who deserved to suffer the penalties for refusing to live in conformity with the law. That notwithstanding, the crowd covered up his criminal record by shouting insistently for his release. *Although our Lord Jesus Christ was at that time to be sacrificed as the Passover Lamb for all of us including criminals like Barabbas, we have a very important lesson to sift from this memory verse.*

No matter how people speak good about us, we are not to allow the innocent people to suffer under punishments that are meant for us. *Just like King David who admitted that he had acted foolishly for ordering the numbering of Israel without God’s approval, we are to accept our wrong ways and be ever ready to face the reproach relating to our misconducts. He called for God’s punishment to come upon him because he knew that he deserved it. (1Chronicles 21:17)*

What about us? Are we ready to confess our crookedness at the workplaces, schools, homes, and even at Church, without minding the humiliations they will bring to us? It is better we get disciplined, after confessing our misconducts so as to serve as deterrent to others. If not so, we won’t be at peace with God for covering up our sins and for not being ashamed of ourselves. *Since we want to make it to Heaven, we have no alternative than to wilfully comply to this way of releasing ourselves from the chains of evil.*
*PRAYER:* Father in Heaven, kindly give me the heart to feel ashamed for wronging you in Jesus name. *AMEN*

Memory verse: JOHN 15:4
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”

Message :
Our Lord in the above scripture wants us to abide in Him and He will do same. We must first be born again to be in Him. This will grace us to remain in Him without questioning His will.

He is the vine and we are the branches. If we stay in Him, we will have His life to always bear fruit. When we keep His commandments in that we love Him and our neighbours, we can remain in Him, bearing fruit.

The things we ask of the Lord, but never received only signal asking outside His will. If we abide in Him, we can ask whatever we wish, and it will be done for us. This is the beauty of remaining in the Lord.

If we refuse to abide in Him, He will cut us off and allowed to burn in the fire. Abiding in the Lord is conditional, so the choice is yours to abide in Him or not.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, help me love You and my neighbours, so I can abide in You. AMEN

“Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?”
Ezra 7:23KJ
Man has the desire to be perfect in everything. Those who fear God keep His commandments, demonstrating their obedience to Him. They’ve put God first in their lives. The earlier we pay heed to the Words of God, the better; it’s always best to be first to obey. The life of Our Lord Jesus is full of obedience. There isn’t any spirit of disobedience in the soul filled with Christ. The Holy Spirit Who lives in you will never cause you to rebel; He always leads you to the Truth and gives you the grace to obey. You haven’t crucified the flesh if you are slow to obey God. ‘Self’ reigns in the atmosphere of disobedience.

The Psalmist exclaimed, “The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.” (Psalm 19:7-11)

God in His Words warns us about His wrath. It is only by obeying Him that we are saved from it. King Artaxerxes told the Jews the reason they should diligently obey the commandments of God. He said, “…for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?” He knew that disobedience would bring the wrath of God upon them.

Beloved, why should you face the wrath of God when you can obey Him? Why should you go to hell when the grace to obey God is still upon your life? Why? No excuse of sin will be welcomed in the court room of God on the day of judgement. Obey all the Words of the Lord now to escape His wrath.
PRAYER: I confess all my secret sins before You Lord Jesus. Please forgive me for not obeying You. I surrender my life to You in total obedience; I will follow You whenever You lead me in Your name I pray.

“Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?”

Ezra 7:23KJV

One of the greatest weapons of the enemy against Christians is laziness. Reading, studying and meditating in the Word of God, praying, fasting, soul winning etc, which help believers to grow have now become a burden for some of them. How can a child grow without food and water? It is the will of the devil for us to remain toddlers in God; his wish is for us to know less of God and remain ignorant about the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.

Procrastination is now the music of most Christians. They dance to its tune every day without knowing that they are gradually quenching and grieving the Holy Spirit with it. The moment you listen to God’s Word and procrastinate its obedience, you do so to the desolation of your soul.

Time is running fast, the Lord is preparing His Bride in haste. Those Christians who piled up the Words of God in their lives waiting for the ‘right time’ to obey it were surprised to find themselves in hell because of disobedience. That ‘right time’ they were looking for never came. Beloved, know that the seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years in your life is the right time to diligently obey the Words of God. After death time is not of importance.

In the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, he made a decree concerning the rebuilding of the house of God that, “Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven…”.

Dear, be diligent in your pursuit of God. Laziness and procrastination will only make you a Laodicean Christian. The time to follow the will of God for your life is now!
PRAYER: Thank you Father for your Saving Words. Please give me the grace to diligently obey you all the days of my life in Jesus’ name.

“And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, let no fruit grow on thee hence forward forever. And presently the fig tree withered awayโ€ (Matthew 21:19).

The seed of the sower fell on good grounds and shoot forth the fig. This fig tree used the soil, sunlight and water and when it was time to bear fruit, it jumped the stage and produced leaves. Jesus came to the fig tree and found nothing, but leaves. Does it mean that โ€œleavesโ€ are nothing? They are something for they can provide shade. At the time Jesus went to the fig tree, He expected fruit not leaves.

Fig tree bears a fruit and then leaves. The impression of seeing leaves on it from afar was, โ€œCome to me, for my fruit is readyโ€. Jesus went to the fig tree and discovered it was pretending to have fruit. He had to curse it, in order not to deceive anyone who uses that way.

I am a fig tree, so you are. Can we pretend we are Christians and not bring forth fruit worthy of repentance? How long can we fake love, honesty and holiness? Can we for pretence make long prayer, but be unmerciful to the poor? Ananias, Sapphirah and Gehazi were cursed for they faked the truth. This is a sobering thought for us. We are in the last days; God expects us to bear fruit. Will you bear fruit as the Lordโ€™s fig or you will bear only leaves?
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, equip me with Your Spirit so I can bear fruit as a good fig. AMEN
