πŸ‘‰MEMORY VERSE: “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48)

God created every thing in perfection in order to be suitable for every good work. Nobody can find any mistake about the nature of His creatures. Every thing has a purpose to accomplish on earth. Take water and other liquid substances like soft drinks for example. Both of them have perfection to show in different ways; because they have distinctive purposes to make them perfect.

The Lord has made humankind perfect. The secret is that, man will become perfect again only after allowing the Spirit of God to live in us after coming to believe in Christ Jesus. This standard is unchangeable under all circumstances. God is a perfect Creator who created humankind in a perfect way to be in His likeness in order to perform the perfect  purpose of God. On that note, creatures such as humankind, cannot change anything about our physical appearance or change what we think as wrong in our own right.

Beloved, our Lord Jesus Christ came for us to be translated from imperfect and sinful people to perfect servants of God. He is the completeness of perfection; His birth, death on the cross, as well as His resurrection and ascension are all clear indications of perfection. He came to do all that for our salvation in order for us to manifest His perfection in our lives. This perfect Saviour of ours will come again to rapture His saved saints, destroy the world at last to judge the righteous and sinners. God wants us to be complete in His perfection (Leviticus 19:1-2, 1Peter 1:13-16, John 3:16-17).

All of us need Jesus Christ before we can put things right and be perfect enough to make Heaven. One may be very kind and people can be talking in commendation for his or her good works; if such a person does not accept Christ and obey His commandments, it will not end well with them. Without Jesus Christ, nobody can ever be perfect. The Old Testament was to cast a shadow of the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ who came to fulfill the Holy Scriptures.

In Genesis 3:14-21, we saw that just sin came into this world through Adam. Until mortal man comes into reconciliation with God, he will continue to be the food of Satan who was cursed to eat dust. So if any person comes into this world without knowing Christ Jesus, he or she will be destroyed. Abraham became the father of many nations, the father of faith and the friend of God. He had faith in God and walked in his ways. God called him into living a perfect life.(Gen. 17:1) In spite of his righteousness, preached to him in hades before he could make it to heaven. The people of Israel under the leadership of Moses, needed the rock of salvation (Jesus Christ) to provide them with water (John 7:37-39). Keep on talking about David was a man of God after God’s heart but when he committed adultery, he needed Jesus Christ to save him. No wonder he saw our Lord Jesus Christ seated at the right side of God. Someone like Elijah had to be baptized in River Jordan as our Lord Jesus taught us about baptism by immersion. In Jeremiah 18:19-23, the Prophet cursed his enemies and he was fortunate enough to encounter Jesus Christ in hades before His resurrection. Fortunately for us, we have encountered Him while we are alive, and not after our death.

We shouldn’t desire to have any thing apart from willing to be like Him. He is the only one who can present us perfectly before our Heavenly Father.

*PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, make me perfect according to your divine standard. AMEN*

πŸ‘‰MEMORY VERSE: _”But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.”_ (Hebrews 10:39)

There was a persistent persecution against the Apostles of Jesus Christ after the ascension of their Master unto Heaven. Another strategy devised by the devil was to look for all avenues to infiltrate sin into the early Christian fellowship. That took place when the devil discovered that persecution couldn’t work out or resist the mission of the early Saints who were called into holiness and into the complete execution of Christ’s Great Commission to us.

Ananias and Sapphira pretended and lied in the midst of the spiritual revival in the Apostolic era and Satan was the one inciting them to sin and defile the Church of God. They wanted vainglory (Acts 5:1-11). Since they mocked the Omniscient God with secret sin, they got exposed and faced their punishment from the Spirit of God who ministered through Apostle Peter.

God sees every form of secret sin in His present Church. God reveals secrets and every thing lies naked before Him (Psalm 94:1-11, Isaiah 29:13-16). Our Lord Jesus Christ is the only Way to Heaven. As we come to believe in Him, He takes us through the highway to Heaven and when we arrive at the threshold of the Gates, holiness and righteousness are the only Keys or password which can open the doors for our passage into the Holy City.

Reading from the Book of Numbers 12:1-15, God struck Miriam with leprosy and cast her behind the wall for seven days because she murmured against Moses, the mouthpiece of God. What does that mean to Christians in our generation? It means that God’s suspension in the form of rejection, is worst than physical leprosy. If sins makes us leprous, then it means that we are insensitive to the life in Christ and above all, are spiritually dead. The punishment of God is awaiting sinning saints who should have been sharing in the holy sainthood of Christ  Jesus. By so doing, the  Lord is pruning His Church in order for it to present and showcase the love and sanctity of God in His Church.

Achan secretly disturbed the holy fold of Israel when they were coming from the captivity in Egypt to the Promised Land. He took an accursed thing clandestinely, and that was the woe of the Israelites who were humiliated and drastically defeated by a small city like Ai. Eventually, he confessed and was stoned to death (Joshua 7:25-26).

Let’s pray that the Lord forgives us our sins and at the same time, do our part by confessing all hidden sins to our Lord Jesus Christ and to the whole congregation.

*PRAYER*: Lord Jesus, may I be a Saint of yours without sin. *AMEN*

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom”.
Luke 12:32KJV
How encouraged we must be knowing that the very creator of the whole universe, who is burdened with the issues of all humans lives should yet command us “Do not fear”! He knows that we are worriers and fearers of everything and we daily need this antidote to activate His peace within us. Very aware of our weaknesses and incapabilities, He calls us little β€”for Christ’s flock in this world is a little flock; his sheep are but few and feeble. The church is a vineyard, a garden, a small spot, compared with the wilderness of this world. But He strengthens us to overcome the world through our faith in Him.

He is our Shepherd and we are his flock. He is the lamb who shed his blood for his sheep. Not only is He our good Shepherd who will never abandon His own, He is also very near, committed, affectionate, dependable, and able. He is the beloved Son of the father and we are His beloved children. The thing that our Father delights in is not that which benefits Him, but us. He gives generously and at great personal cost.

If there were anything worth having, it’d be the royal Kingdomβ€” the one that belongs to the King of Kings. All things righteous, holy, noble and good are the very things He’s delighted to generously give to His little flock. God has a kingdom in store for all that belong to Christ’s little flock, a crown of glory, a throne of power, unsearchable riches, far exceeding the peculiar treasures of kings and provinces. If God so loved us that he gave us His only begotten Son, then it’s His good pleasure also to give us His Kingdom. And His kingdom will be inherited by those whose lives are pleasing unto Him.
*PRAYER:* Father thank you for having a delight in giving me your kingdom. Please help me to be fearless and live a life pleasing unto you in Christ Jesus’ name.

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand”.
Rev. 1:3KJV

It is not sufficient to our blessedness that we read and hear the scriptures, but we must keep the things that are written; we must keep them in our memories, in our minds, in our affections, and in practice, and we shall be blessed in the deed. The nearer we come to the accomplishment of the scriptures, the greater regard we shall give to them. The time is at hand, and we should be so much the more attentive as we see the day approaching. There is no other way to watch our righteous garments not to be spotted with the world other than having God’s Words in our hearts. The Bible says, “be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”(1Pet.5:8) Our only Sword to battle the enemy is the WORD.

Time is really moving faster than normal. We are daily heading towards the judgement day. How prepared are we? We neither read the Word, study, meditate nor keep it, how can we be like Christ Jesus when He appears? He said, “the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel”( Mark 1:15)

We are always busy with our businesses, not having any regard for the Word. It’s time to reset our priorities and seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; it’s time to put the Word into practice for the time of the rapture is at hand. There’s no time left for loving the world and its things. We are in the extra time and we must use every moment for preparation towards Heaven. We must set our affections on things above for the time is at hand.

Precious soul, heed the warning, for your life will soon begone. Oh how sad to face the judgement; unprepared to meet the Lord.
PRAYER: Help me Lord Jesus to be prepared for your kingdom for the time is really at hand.

“And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live”.
Deut. 30:6KJV

To circumcise our hearts is to put God at the centre of our joy of life. Circumcision is done with the use of a sharp object. And what else would God use to circumcise our hearts other than His words? For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart(Heb.4:12). The Lord Jesus said “Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you”, and in His prayers He said to the Father; “Sanctify them through your Truth: your word is Truth”.

Circumcision is as painful as trials. That’s why many hear the Word but does not allow it to pierce through their hearts to take off the foreskins thereof. What are those foreskins? They are the things which have taken the place for God in our lives. The will of the heart, the lust of the flesh and eyes, pride of life etc. are all foreskins that have glued our hearts such that it takes only the divine hand of God to dispel it from within us. The friendship of the world is always enmity with God.

Dolefully, we always let the Word of God remain idle in our hearts because we cherish and cleave to the foreskins so much that when the Word tries removing it, we lust after it again. But God’s promises will only come to pass when we allow the working of that promises in our lives.
Beloved, God is still holding the sword of the Word to circumcise our hearts now, won’t we gladly submit to Him?

PRAYER: I surrender my Heart unto you dear Lord Jesus. please circumcise my heart with your word, make it pure as you are, and come and have your abode there. In your name.
