WHO IS KING OVER YOU?

“In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes”.
Judges 17:6KJV

In every domain is a king ruling in his kingdom. God is the king of heaven and earth, he rules over all; His kingdom has no ends. The Psalmist says, “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory”. (Psalm 24:7,8,10) Satan isn’t a king, he is just a prince of this world; a prince over the demons and his servants; he rules over anyone who loves the world and the things of it. There are laws bounding every kingdom. In the absence of a king is commotion. Within the hearts of most people even Christians are the wish that there had been no laws, king, kingdom, judgements, punishments or hell. So that they will freely live their lives in accordance with their wills.

The Bible says, “All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weights the spirits”.(Prov. 16:2) What man sees right in his own eyes can be evil in God’s sight. The Israelites refused to obey the laws of God, who is truly their King even in the absence of earthly king. They made graven and molten images to worship them and they deemed this as right in their own sight. Satan, the prince of this world was ruling over them. It’s either you’re ruled by the king — Christ Jesus or Satan, for you can’t serve two masters, either you love one and hate the other”

Know beyond the shadows of doubt that even if you think that the Lord isn’t ruling in your life, there’s a sure judgement after death; you’ll account for all the things done in your lifetime. It’s best for you to allow the king in your life and obey His commandments before that day.
“There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”(Prov. 14:12).

GOD’S KINGDOM AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”
Matt. 6:33KJV

After contacting a king, the next first thing is to seek and know His kingdom and what’s involved. The word “Kingdom” is a term for a “King” and His “Domain”.Practically, a kingdom may be defined as “the sovereign rule of a king over territory (domain), impacting it with his will, purport, and intent.” God’s kingdom means God’s will executed, Heaven’s influence, God’s governance, His impress and impact. We are to seek GOD’S righteousness, not ours. When our lives are right before the King, we will enjoy His privileges.

“A king said to his particular friend, ‘Ask what thou
wilt, and I will give it unto thee.’ He thought within himself,
‘If I ask to be made a general I shall readily obtain it. I will
ask something to which all these things shall be added:’ he
therefore said, ‘Give me thy daughter to wife.’ This he did knowing that all the dignities of the kingdom should be added unto this gift.”
Our Lord Jesus emphasised to us His Kingdom and the need to be righteous so that we can receive “all these things added unto us.” Including our Physical, psychological, emotional and financial needs. When we ask and seek heavenly things, earthly things are also added; but when we seek earthly things we miss the paradisical ones.

Solomon asked wisdom, and had that and other things added to Him.
O what a blessed change would it make in our hearts and lives, did we but firmly believe this truth, that the best way to be comfortably provided for in this world, is to be most intent upon that Edenic World!
