“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word”.
The word of God is being taken for granted by many youth in this modern world. Their minds are pregnant with many queries about the future and the way towards their ambitions, yet they’ve neglected the most pivotal ingredient of their lives. They ask themselves “How can I be rich, have this car, house, job or that phone…?” And they seem to answer themselves “I have to be very busy with my work, do this or that to earn more money…”. Dolefully, they fail to pursue the most precious gems of their lives. Some even have no aim, plans or rules for their lives thinking that they have more time to live; they don’t even know the way, how can they cleanse it? It’s one thing knowing the way and another keeping it pure.
Paul told Timothy to flee from youthful lust; the lust of the eye, flesh and the pride of life are mostly at work among the youths; temptations of the world are at it peak in youthful age. Wherefore, many young people had fallen into Satan’s wily net either ignorantly or wilfully as they’ve trodden God’s word under foot and joked with it.
David’s question for the young people is worth meditating throughout our lifetime on earth: “By what means can a young man purify His way and live a noble life free from the filthiness of the things of this world?”. The answer is very simple yet demanding “by taking heed unto themselves, walking circumspectly, framing their lives with God’s word and making it their rule and map”.
How can you guard your way in darkness without a light? There is no excellent way to walk in this tenebrous world and be spotless other than walking with the Word as the lamp unto your feet and a light on your path. Then will you see clearly, the disguised things of the world to hightail it.
The Word is none other than Christ Jesus, when He is the leader of your life, he purifies your way, opens your eyes clearly, watch over you dearly and keeps you so carefully.
Lord Jesus please forgive me for not acknowledging you in my life. Please lead me in all my ways in your name I pray.
GOD BLESS YOU
“Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.”
The word of God must be expressed in great regards because God who is our creator, guider, redeemer, and King, had commanded it. Every kingdom has laws bounding it. When you admit to be in the Kingdom of God, then, know of surety that He had commanded His citizens to obey His words and keep it heartily. For he is the rewarder of those who love, seek and Keep His precepts, the inerrant Truth.
The bedrock of all true virtue is that we adhere to God’s words, not because it’s in our church doctrine, or our pastors or any beckon us to do it, but because of the infallible fact that God had said it and requires obeisance. Thus, God said it, I believe and obey it, and that settles it!
Every true believer lives the Word and leave the world and its things behind. For He knows that by the leading of the Holy Spirit, his ways are directed to keep God’s statues. Wherefore, He has due respect, which implies hearty affection, diligent study, and constant practice of the word of God. And when his balances are weighed on the judgement day, he shall never be found wanting or ashamed for he learned and lived the Word diligently.
Though we are commanded by God to obey Him, yet He requires us to do it in Love; it’s when we truly love Him that we can whole-souled obey Him.
O that our hearts are so guided and influenced by the Spirit of God that we cannot in any wise transgress HIS precepts!
PRAYER: Glory be unto you, great King Jesus, for your love and mercy. Please help me to love and keep your words in your name I pray.
GOD BLESS YOU
“Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways”.
The word of God are His testimonies because in it, He testifies for His unerring Truth and against sin. Those who would walk in God’s fervent law must keep his testimonies, that is, his truths. Know of surety that stupendous blissfulness awaits those who keep God’s testimonies as a cherished treasure of incomputable value and as the apple of their eye; they are greatly blessed.
Such people are not tepid; they heartily pursue, study, and explore their creator to understand His will for their lives. In fact, they always hunger and thirst after His righteousness with the faith of being copiously filled. They’ve ambitioned their minds to diligently seek God, not the world or its things, and to carefully eschew all iniquitous behaviors.
Those who are most happy are those whose sins are forgiven through the blood of Christ. It’s very evil for your heart to be divided between the world and the Word; it’s only the Word that cleanses you and makes you perfect to be raptured.
When you walk in God’s words and His ways of righteousness, keep his testimonies and seek Him wholeheartedly, your life will be chockfull of equity and free from iniquity.
PRAYER: Help me to be a willing vessel of obedience oh Lord Jesus and keep me from worldly desires in your name I pray.
GOD BLESS YOU
“And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat”.
God through His infinite mercy has shown us mercy again, Glory be unto His name!
The Lord kept His promise by raining down bread from Heaven. And when the Israelites saw it, they were very surprise and said in great wonderment, “It is Manna”, being very ignorant of it. Then Moses cleared their naive mind by telling them what it was.
The Manna was a heavenly bread which they must eat. The Lord could have chosen to serve them with a different food altogether but He gave them Manna. Which must be gathered daily according to every man’s eating like the fowls of the air of which it was said “that thou givest them, they gather(Psalm 104:28), not to-day for to-morrow: let the morrow take thought for the things of itself.
What God graciously gives, we must industrously gather; with quietness working and eating our own bread, not the bread either of idleness or deceit. God’s bounty leaves room for man’s duty; it did so even when Manna was rained;they must not eat till they have gathered. God through this, taught them how to depend on His providence. They must go to bed and sleep quietly, though they have not a bit of bread in their tent or camp, trusting that God with the following day, will bring them their daily bread.
Beloved, God has given us His word freely, keeping it even from the time Moses penned some down till this very moment. Now let’s ask ourselves, how many of His words have we gathered so far? Have we eaten any of it yet? Have we meditate upon any?
It’s time to eat the bread of life; it’s time to meditate and put it into action. Allow the word to digest and extract every nutrient of it.
“…the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.
And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.”(Exo. 16:17-18).
Lord Jesus, I praise your name for your words and grace. Please help me gather my Manna and live it out in your name I pray.
“Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and _the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no”. Ex. 16:4KJV
God bless all readers of ‘The Manna of Truth’. It’s our prayer that as we all prepare for that incorruptible country, we shall surely meet there in the precious name of our Savior.
When the Israelites first saw the Manna, they called it “Man-hu” , a hebrew word meaning “what is this? . It is derived more probably from the Hebrew word “Manan” meaning ‘to allot’ and hence denoting an allotment or a gift. It is described as occuring in flakes or small round grains; it fell with the dew and appeared when the dew left the ground. The Manna was like coriander seed, white and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey and also the taste of a fresh oil or cakes baked with oil. It fell for the first time after their eighth encampment in the desert till they encamped at Gilgal, after crossing the Jordan, when it suddenly ceased and where they first ate the corn of the land(Josh. 5:12)
This is a heavenly Manna, not earthly. It was God himself who rained it unto them. Everyone must go outside to gather some every day. That was their source of strenghth for the day. No wonder our Lord Jesus directed us to pray, ‘give us this day our daily bread’.
Dear heavenly pilgrim on the wilderness of this world, the bread of Heaven(The Bible) is always before you everyday, do you gather a certain rate daily?
Do you even care about it? Is the Manna your source of joy and strenghth or Money? Are you so busy seeking money that you have no time searching and gathering your Manna? Don’t you feel that your soul is hungry and thirsty for the Bread of life?
Actualy, this is what the Lord will use to prove us whether we will walk in His precepts or not.
It’s very impossible to walk according to God’s will without His words.
Oh! bread of heaven, feed me till I want no more!!!
Omnipotent God I praise your holy name this morning, please thank you for your Manna in my life and help me to gather mine daily in Jesus’ name.
GOD BLESS YOU
